Sundari captures the essence of a newly married woman adorned in a vibrant saree as she gracefully enters her new home courtyard. It radiates joy and anticipation of new beginnings. The woman is portrayed in a red saree which is not only warm and elegant but also has a cultural significance. Red in many Indian traditions serves as a symbol of auspiciousness, fertility, and marital bliss.

The Banjara community of India, often called the "Gypsies of India," is renowned for its vibrant culture and rich traditions. Their colorful attire, adorned with intricate patterns, tells stories of heritage and craftsmanship. Banjara women are particularly striking, wearing bright, layered skirts and embroidered blouses that symbolize their identity. The bold colors—reds, yellows, and greens—reflect their lively spirit, with fabrics woven by hand, showcasing generational skills. Jewelry is vital in Banjara culture, serving as both an expression and a reflection of social status. Tribal tattoos known as "trajva" are distinctive, carrying deep meanings related to milestones like marriage or childbirth. Each tattoo is unique, reinforcing community bonds and personal narratives.
Textures of schlagmetal in this piece represent the tactile richness of their fabrics and jewelry. Brushstrokes convey the dynamic nature of their lives and the colorful stories they carry.

This painting was intended to capture the regal and grace of a queen in ancient India. Taking inspiration from Indian miniature arts, this composition reflects the dignity and esteemed qualities associated with the word "Banu" which means a noblewoman. It pays homage to culture and historical roots.

Nazneen perfectly encapsulates the grace and charm of traditional dressing and jewelry, each having a long historical connection and significance. The necklace shown here is called Navratan which means nine gems and it symbolizes a celestial body. The embroidery on the dress is called Zardozi which has remained an integral part of Indian fashion since historical times.
